brief
For this project, I was tasked with developing an informational design system for the festival. The challenge was not only to make the brand’s identity more structured, legible, and approachable, but also to infuse it with a sense of playfulness while emphasizing the festival’s central theme: light. Through research, I explored light beyond its literal meaning—viewing it as a symbol of unity and gathering. But how do you visually represent unity? The answer lay in the circle—a shape that naturally evokes wholeness and connection, much like the festival itself. This idea shaped the design approach, using light and circular forms to reinforce the festival’s identity and create a more immersive experience.

To bring this concept to life, I incorporated light halos into the wayfinding panels. The circular motif extended to the iconography, with each icon featuring a rounded outline. Designed for both function and aesthetics, the panels were made from frosted acrylic and embedded with energy-efficient LED lights, casting a soft halo that enhanced visibility while staying true to the festival’s luminous identity. The glow not only added warmth but also reinforced the sense of unity at the heart of the event. This project deepened my understanding of designing for three-dimensional spaces, where legibility and structure must work from every angle. More than anything, it emphasized the importance of balancing function with creativity—making wayfinding both intuitive and visually engaging.
